Leading multi-channel retailer requires an Interim Project Manager to start ASAP for a 6-9 month contract leading a warehouse focused project in Europe, transitioning existing operations into the care of a new third party provider.

Client Details

Leading multi-channel retailer with a UK base (Northamptonshire) and european operations.

Description

- Create project plans, develop a project team, governance structure and defined timelines/budget.

- Manage all associated workstreams and stakeholders to ensure smooth transition of warehouse operations from current third party provider to the new partner.

- Create a robust project maangement tool to provide visibility of resource requirements.

- Provide weekly reports on project updates based on milestones and budgets, raising and managing potential risks to the go live date.

- Lead all project meetings and provide consolidated view to line manager.

- Take accountability for the site transition, stock migration and transport solution.

- Manage successful exit plan from current provider.



Profile

The successful Interim Project Manager must have:


- At least 10 years within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, with at least 5 of these being in project delivery focused roles, with accountability for end-to-end distribution projects to the value of over £1million.

- Have evidence of leading warehouse start up/ relocation projects via a third party provider.

- At least 5 years experience within a retail or wholesale fast paced distribution environment, e-fulfillment experience desirable.

- Experience working within Europe desirable.

- Demonstrable project governance skills with a formal qualification obtained (PRINCE2 ect).

- Be willing to travel extensively for the role (based in Northamptonshire), and available to start within the next 2 weeks.



Job Offer

The successful Interim Project Manager will be offered between £450 and £550pd + european travel expenses, dependent on level of relevant experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.

(Expenses to and from site in Northamptonshire will not be offered)
