1st Executive are retained by a global FTSE100 Manufacturing organisation, who are seeking and Project Specialist with a proven track record in managing and co-ordinating project based initiatives. This is an initial 6 month engagement with possibility to extend, based at the global HQ in East Yorkshire.


Job Purpose:

To lead and direct the implementation of Outsourced product change controls to time, cost and quality drivers within Global Outsourced Manufacturing Operations.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • To manage a portfolio of change control projects. Examples being cost saving, compliance or enforced material changes.
  • Lead and direct multi-functional project teams to ensure change control projects are delivered in a timely manner
  • To be accountable for the Outsourced Operations Change Control procedure via authorisation of appropriate documentation
  • To provide the major interface between the project team and change control activities ensuring that the technical work streams are compliant and that the file is suitable for audit by the FDA and BSI.
  • Understanding of third party processes to identify opportunities for lean manufacture in order to reduce cost, stock and lead times.
  • To generate process validation documentation and specifications (such as finished product and packaging) enabling process transfers to take place.
  • To keep up-to-date on current developments at the company and in relevant technical fields to generate ideas and proposals for future projects.
  • To deputise for the Technical Manager and provide support to colleagues on project work / process validation when required.
  • To perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality Systems standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485.
  • To apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures.
  • To comply with the Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct in all matters pertinent to company.
  • To take part in the day to day housekeeping to maintain the professional image of the company.

Required Knowledge & Experience:
  • Degree educated
  • Demonstrable project management and co-ordination experience.
  • Demonstrable evidence of work within medical device, pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors. Work in the food sector also acceptable.
  • Self-starting and capable of working with minimum supervision to high standards.
  • Excellent communication / influencing skills
  • Proven experience of Change / Design change
