You will be responsible for the procurement and supported supply chain solutions across the full category list; food, beverage, consumables, packaging, smallwares, waste and laundry. You will play a play a key part in delivering industry leading food and drink products to our customers.

Client Details

Our client is a leading national food service organsiation.

  • Accountable for the procurement and supported supply chain solution across a wide category list including food, beverage, consumables, packaging, smallwares, waste and laundry.
  • Provides support to the wider team.
  • Develop, negotiate and administer purchasing agreements with supplier partners in support of organisational requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to execute projects, new menu launches and new product development.
  • Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases ensuring best value proposition for the business.
  • Tender categories making recommendations based on commercial, market, business and technical factors.
  • Introduce and measure performance improvement plans for suppliers.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Develop & monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  • The implementation of successful purchasing practices that ensure reduced costs and improved productivity.
  • Assessing the supply chain efficiency, finding ways to reduce the organisation's expenditures, and selecting, appointing and meeting suppliers to negotiate prices and contracts.

  • Previous extensive experience in food service environment
  • Experienced in negotiations and networking
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Flexible approach
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
