Leading FMCG business in the County of Wiltshire requires an Interim Transport Compliance Coordinator for a period of 3 months to support a site improvement programme.

Description



  • Ensure that Company Compliance targets are achieved and all internal and external audits meet the required standard.
  • Assist the Group Compliance Manager in ensuring full and complete compliance with O Licence, Standard Operating Procedures and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and monitor adherence to Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations, updating the tachograph compliance system (Trutac) in line with legal and corporate guidelines, producing infringement letters and feeding back to drivers on performance. Support the performance management of drivers in relation to adherence to Drivers Hours and Working Time in line with Company policies and escalation procedures.
  • Produce accurate compliance KPI statistics and other reporting as required.
  • Monitor the carrying out of daily pre-start checks by drivers
  • Audit pre shift and debrief sheets
  • Run Missing mileage reports weekly, investigate any missing mileage, identify the cause of the missing mileage, determine the remedial action to take and update system records accordingly.
  • Produce reports on and monitor average working time for drivers in line with fixed reference periods
  • Ensure Drivers annual working time declarations are complete and accurate and any identified anomalies investigated and resolved
  • Support the implementation of new standardised policies and procedures for the Transport Operations in conjunction with the central compliance team.
  • Collate employee driver CPC statistics and ensure that training is received by employed drivers
  • Ensure accidents/incidents are reported in line with company procedures
  • Feed back any trends identified as part of daily activities or concerns identified in relation to health, safety, environmental, legal or operational factors.
  • Provide technical advice/professional guidance to operational management on matters related to Transport Compliance



The job holder will be expected to achieve standards and KPI’s that will include targets on the following areas amongst others:

  • Trutac compliance
  • Process adherence
  • Compliance audit results
  • Driver CPC
  • Development & delivery of site action plans
  • Tachograph infringement levels
  • Working Time Directive infringements levels
  • Accident and Damage Levels





Profile



The successful Interim Transport Compliance coordinator must have knowledge and experience including:
  • Vehicle Construction and Use regulations
  • Different vehicle types and makes
  • Thorough knowledge of O Licence Legal Compliance
  • Transport industry and market sector experience/knowledge
  • PC applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Digital Tachographs and tachograph management systems
  • IOSH (desirable)
  • Management skills
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire people to want to improve performance
  • Tenacious and positive in approach
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Health, Safety and Welfare knowledge







QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certificate of Professional Competence Road Transport Operations holder (desirable)
  • Driver CPC (desirable)
  • Full clean driving licence



Must be able to start immediately, have at least 4 years in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain and be willing to fund their own commute to a single site location in Wiltshire.





Job Offer

The successful Interim Transport Compliance coordinator will be offered a pro-rata salary of between £20,000 and £28,000 dependent on experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
