Newly created role for an Interim Transport Planning Manager for a period of 9 months, in conducting thorough network analysis and identifying opportunities for efficiencies in transport planning across the UK distribution operation.

Rapidly growing e-commerce distributor based in the South East England.

Description

Key responsibilities for the successful Interim Transport Planning Manager:

?Supporting the Director of Operations and the Logistics team in identifying areas of improvement, through mapping and review of current transport operational processes.

?Gain stakeholder agreement on recommendations, preparing and monitoring project plans from conception through to go live, engaging resource where required and ensuring effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

?Influencing and managing key project participants and their teams to deliver the project successfully and on time, reporting all possible risks to status and progress to senior internal stakeholders.

?Address project challenges effectively, evaluating alternatives, proposing and implementing solutions, and taking corrective action as necessary.



Profile

The successful Interim Transport Planning Manager must have:

? At least 5 years experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain. A logistics and/or supply chain qualification is desirable.

? Available at short notice and flexible to travel across the UK where required, base location in the South East England.

?Experience working with Paragon is essential.

?Familiarity with mapping logistics processes across transport planning and systems usage.

?Comfortable with working cross functionally and managing senior stakeholders.

?Excellent track record in managing projects via a structured governance technique (ie. PRINCE2) and preferably with experience of project/lean management methodologies (Black belt desirable).





Job Offer

The successful Interim Transport Planning Manager will be offered a pro rata salary of between £40,000 and £60,000 and business expenses for national travel, dependent on experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
