I am actively looking to engage a dynamic Inventory Shift Manager for an extremely lucrative position within the Derbyshire area. The opportunity not only offers a chance to operate within a market-leading business, but also within the largest automated warehousing operation of its type within Europe.

Client Details

My client is a memorable name within the majority of UK households. My client has a strong retail operation which provides quality clothing and home products across a store and E-Commerce operation. They have recently opened the largest automated distribution operation of its type in Europe.

Description

As an Inventory Shift Manager you will be working a variety of shifts across the operations; most notably a 3on3off pattern, covering days and nights.

You will report into the on-site Inventory & Stock Director and be responsible for a small team of technically capable staff. You will be responsible for the following:
  • Providing expertise and continuous improvement experience in the areas of occupancy, stock shrinkage and warehouse functionality.
  • Daily monitoring of inventory trends to formulate a forward planning solution to the business.
  • Project work focusing upon increasing business volumes and SKU counts, especially during seasonal operations.
  • Direct responsibility for general staff management, i.e performance development, RTW, absence, appraisals
  • Reporting of warehouse process constraints and projects on solutions surrounding these.

Profile

The successful candidate will have a strong Inventory and Operational background within logistics and will ideally have the following attributes and experiences:
  • Previous experience of managing inventory focused teams in a fast-pace environment - i.e. Fashion, FMCG, Parcels, 3PL, E-Commerce etc.
  • Experience in large scale operations - at a minimum upwards of 250,000 sq. ft.
  • Experience within another automated operation would be advantageous.
  • Continuous Improvement or Project based inventory experience.
  • Desirably degree level educated (BA, BSc, BEng)
  • CILT Membership or qualification would be desirably.
  • Experience with Red Prairie or Manhattan would be beneficial.
