Our client; a world leading financial services provider that has unlimited potential for growth; have an exciting opportunity for an Interim IT Buyer to assist the UK Procurement Manager.
Develop WEMEA commodity strategies for Mainframe software, server and desktop hardware and any associated software.
Timely renewal of IT software & hardware maintenance agreements within defined notice periods.
Ensure that IT Software & Hardware maintenance costs does not exceed budgetary requirements.
Ensure Contract Management & Savings procedures are submitted in a timely manor
Skills
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating Software & Hardware maintenance agreements.
Knowledge of IT Desktop Hardware and software purchasing.
Demonstrate a portfolio of tendering goods & services.
A history in IT as well as Purchasing.
CIPS qualified - desirable but not essential.
An Ideal candidate will be an excellent team player, have the ability to organise workloads and negotiate critical contracts to tight deadlines. You will be required to work closely with business colleagues to understand purchasing requirements and must demonstrate the ability to understand purchasing requirements and communicate with Senior Management / Directors.
