The Amsterdam office of this Big 4 Consultancy has just won a substantial new contract of work; they are implementing next generation technology in the Supply Chain and Operations sectors of Blue-Chip clients in the Professional Service industries. This job is client facing; fast paced and diverse in the day to day responsibilities and individuals you will work with, you will be met with challenging tasks from day one. At senior grade your job will also include team leadership, analysing big data, identifying opportunities for improvement and administering advice to the client. Your job will see that you apply the changes you have researched and suggested with positive implications from the operational level right up to the board room.

You should be well accustomed with how to implement continuous improvements using the Lean Six Sigma methodology. You will also be looking at how best to implement Robotic Process Automation to reduce costs and increase efficiency through process automation. Your work will drive significant change in major global brands, to be successful you must interact with Chiefs of Staff and Floor Managers; strong intercultural communication is a must. Understanding how to interpret Big Data sets to spot opportunity for process improvement will be a key part of this job.

Job responsibilities
  • Work client site managing a key a project segment with multiple analysts reporting in to you
  • Identify, analyse and then act upon key insights taken from big data
  • Utilise the Lean Six Sigma Methodology to draw up new practices for lean operation from operations floor level right up to the board level
  • Champion best practices that you developed or become familiarised with working in industry or management consulting
  • Build new business with clients, build upon existing relationships with current clients
  • Provide an open environment for junior staff to help build their skillsets

Your skillset
  • Experience working in Financial, Professional or Marketing services as an industry insider or management consultant
  • Prior experience working on Supply Chain & Operations transformation projects – ideally coming from a services industry background
  • Management Consulting or Industry Experienced with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the gravitas and articulate communication style to influence senior stakeholder and clients
  • Degree educated, Masters & MBA favourable in a relevant discipline such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Operations & Engineering
