6 Month FTC Buyer Opportunity for Leading FMCG Manufacturer in Essex

Your new company
You will be working for a leading FMCG manufacturer in the Essex area. This organisation is widely considered to be a leader in their field and are a highly established business. This business operates across several countries across multiple continents.

Your new role
As the buyer, you will closely alongside the procurement manager in the highly established procurement team. You will aid the activity of the procurement department and function across the multiple manufacturing sites. You will play a pivotal role and contribute effectively and efficiently in the development of the supplier portfolios. You will also negotiate best prices for the company, ensuring the highest quality of product and savings for the business. You will give support in the strategic sourcing activity and you will also research the market for new providers.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position, you must have working knowledge of the procurement function from previous roles. Due to the nature of this position, strong administration skills are required and a thorough knowledge of either ERP/ MRP or SAP systems. You will also be required to have knowledge of the Microsoft office package as you will be using this system on occasions. A background working for a FMCG manufacturer is desirable but not necessarily essential. Having a CIPS qualification would be a benefit but not a necessity.

What you'll get in return
This role will initially be on a 6 month FTC but for the right candidate this has potential to be extended or become a permanent position. You will get the opportunity to broaden your existing skill set and develop new skills whilst working for a forward thinking business. You will also get the opportunity to work alongside other procurement professionals. The salary for this position is £25,000 Pro Rata.
