Junior IT Category Manager – Global Financial Services Firm – Bristol - £40-50k + package & Development and training opportunities

This global financial services firm, who work significantly within Insurance, are looking to bring on board their next generation of junior category managers to push through the business into senior manager level and above.

This category manager role will have a strong focus on, IT platforms as well as cloud and software services, it is therefore vital for this person to have experience within these areas. As an organisation that focusses significantly on training and development, you will not only have the opportunity to work on some market leading projects but have the chance to drive your career forward through innovative and bespoke development plans.

Junior Procurement Manager role outline:-
  • Leading initiatives across a wide range of IT procurement projects, whilst working with senior internal stakeholders up to director level in assessing and business requirements
  • Continually play a key role in challenging operational requirements and designing policies & procedures that add strategic value to the team and business moving forward
  • Strive for progression within this high calibre team by taking advantage of a generous development and training plan

Experience / knowledge required:-
  • IT, Cloud & Software procurement experience within a financial services environment, having shown progression from buyer to category manager
  • Strong business and commercial awareness, as well as the ability to and have the experience of presenting business plans to a high level
  • Degree / MBA / CIPS is ideal however not essential
