Your new company
A national retailer facing continued business success has an exciting opportunity for you to join their growing team as a Junior Procurement Specialist. The business has recently opened new stores across the UK and is seeing an increase in their e-commerce business and has ambitious overseas growth prospects.

Your new role
Ultimately, it will be your responsibility to achieve optimum cost savings and to source and negotiate with the best suppliers. You will establish sound working relationships with your suppliers and internal customers as well as working with internal customers to source categories to be tendered. It will also be your responsibility to prepare and issue ‘Invitation to Tenders’ to suppliers, analyse the responses and negotiate terms to get the best deal for your new company. You will lead meetings with various stakeholders and conduct your own market research into your suppliers and the business requirements in order to find the best suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to degree level, preferably with a business related degree and must have, or be willing to study for, your CIPS qualification. It would be beneficial to your application if you have experience working in a GNFR procurement position. As well as this, you must have strong analytical skills and have demonstrable experience in negotiation and influencing. You must also be strong at presenting with sound interpersonal skills.

What you'll get in return
