Amazing interim opportunity for a Key Account Manager with a good understanding of logistics operations and strong customer relationship building skills.

The remit of this role embraces the responsibility for the strategic management of several key customers, ensuring that the highest standards of service are maintained and commercial targets are met. This temporary role is likely to last for up to 12 months. It necessitates a strong individual who is used to regular customer contact and has the gravitas to forge sound relationships with stakeholders not only across these contracts but also with external carriers and internal colleagues. You will take ownership for the contracts’ review processes and ensure that they operate within P&L and budgetary constraints. Your responsibilities will encompass the gathering of accurate forecast data; liaising with your warehouse management colleagues and external carriers; KPI and SLA management, trend analysis and Continuous Improvement initiatives. You will be expected to identify contract / account development opportunities and deliver process improvements, efficiencies and financial benefits.

It is a well-established but continually growing company that is winning new contracts in addition to developing existing customer service provisions. This business offers inbound, outbound, reverse, added- value and carrier management services utilising state-of-the- art systems and well trained staff. This is definitely a customer-centric brand with demanding clients, tight deadlines and exacting contract parameters. Candidates need to be inspiring individuals with previous account management / contract management experience and the capacity to encourage, engage and work collaboratively with colleagues in order to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met during times of great pressure, ever-changing and conflicting priorities and seasonal peaks. It goes without saying that you will have a strong commercial and financial acumen along with experience of warehousing operations, carrier management, KPI and SLA control and LEAN techniques. Good IT skills are also essential including Excel.
