Client Details

My client is based within the logistics distribution and supply chain sector; they provide high end bespoke shopping fitting and temporary solutions to a multitude of clients Globally.


The Logistics and Installations Manager (Import) will be responsible for;
  • To advise the PM department of all relevant aspects of logistics, e.g. packaging, Incoterms, duties and taxes.
  • To keep the PM department up to date with countries we can service with our network of direct installation suppliers together with current market rates in each country.
  • To manage all aspects of the installations with your chosen contractor following briefing by the PM running the project. It would be expected that the Project PM would support you with installation training and site visits when required
  • To quote for shipping according to Incoterms and maintain a matrix of quotations.
  • To quote for installations and surveys according to the project need and maintain a matrix quotations, keeping track of day rates, travel expenses etc.
  • To ensure the efficient issuing of documents necessary for export, importation, tax computation and proofs of export and delivery
  • To plan staff resource usage on a weekly and monthly basis with team leaders. Including holiday approval of your team.
  • Scheduling training for you and your team to maintain a high level of knowledge in your field.
  • Select, manage and monitor your suppliers to ensure that they achieve or exceed the targets agreed for cost and margin.
  • Placing of purchase orders, processing of purchase invoices relating to shipments. To closely monitor and record expenditure
  • To ship “Logistics goods, Installations and services” on the SAP ERP system.
  • To analyse project requirements and devise accurate quotations for their realisation through concise briefing of selected suppliers. Produce cost estimation spreadsheets for sign off by senior management/other colleagues and prepare quotation sheets for the Project management team, for publication to clients.
  • To set up and maintain the installation reporting tool of TeamHaven based on the specific project needs and client requirement.
  • To keep other departments and account handlers informed of developments, alterations and timelines required for delivery of project elements in order that they are equipped to manage client expectations.
  • To vet potential new suppliers; to keep up to date with, and inform colleagues of the range of services which established suppliers are able to offer.
  • To monitor and ensure regular updating of our Project Record & SAP project management system and any other company supplier databases
  • To support other department personnel as necessary to assist when work loading is abnormal; in cases of absence for holidays; sickness or any other significant absence from your team to ensure continuity of the projects delivery.
  • To act as a coach and mentor to Junior and Assistant roles in the Logistics department and to share knowledge and experience with other colleagues as the need arises.
  • To carry out ad hoc projects as required by the Project Team Leader to support company and business effectiveness.


The Logistics and Installations Manager (Import) will have experience within the following;

  • Knowledge of Incoterms (CIP, DDP, DAP, FCA)
  • Experience of completing commercial invoices and certificates of origin and associated shipping paperwork
  • Have worked in a fast paced environment such as the shopfitting industry
  • Have a can do attitude
  • Be able to manage a small team of 3 – 4 people
  • Have some knowledge of or experience of Retail installations (Ideally shopfitting or POP work but Kitchen or other built in furniture would also be considered)
  • Have a degree or professional qualification within Logistics
  • Have previously worked on a SAP ERP system
  • Have previously worked for a company with Authorised Economic Operator Status
  • Have previously worked in a fast paced POP or Shopfitting environment

Job Offer

The Logistics and Installations Manager (Import) will receive as salary of £35,000 - £40,000 pension, phc 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
