Logistics Manager - Based in Cambridgeshire - Salary £32-35,000 + Quarterly Bonus Scheme & further benefits

A Cambridgeshire based company are on the market for a new Logistics Manager. The business are well established in their chosen field and are continuing to bring in new customers, as well as maintaining strong relationship with current clients.

In your new role as Logistics Manager, you will head up a small yet vital department. You will have direct reports of Materials Control, Stores & Procurement, therefore you will need to be a versatile Logistics professional with strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for the day to day Logistics operation in line with the businesses processes and procedures. Other responsibilities include; Support and comply with inventory policies; Plan and prepare regular MRP reviews and runs based on approved customer requirements; Implementing systems and KPI’s to measure, monitor and control material availability, inventory levels and purchase price variances; Manage an effective supplier assessment program.

To be considered for the this role you will need to be from a Manufacturing background, and have excellent Leadership skills. This is a SME business with a close knit family feeling, therefore a background with large corporate businesses would not be the best fit. You will have a real opportunity to grow with the business and thrive as an integral part of the management team.

The successful Logistics Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £35,000. Other benefits include a quarterly bonus scheme, holiday allowance of 31 days (incl bank holidays), flexibility around working hours. Finally, the company are also part of the investors in people scheme.
