Logistics Manager, FMCG, Central London

An up and coming FMCG brand are launching across leading Global locations, including the US and throughout Europe, and are looking for a Logistics Manager to join their team in Chancery Lane, London. The company are aspiring and encourage their employees to be innovative and an active member of the branch. This role will have you reporting to the Head of Operations.

The company’s mission is to work in spirit of each other and as a partnership, which has to today been a huge cause of their growing success. As the Logistics Manager you will organise the storage and distribution of goods, whilst seeing their departure to the right locations, at the right time and at the most effective cost.

The position is based in Central London, offering a Mon-Fri 9:00-18:00 working role with a salary reaching up to £30,000 p/a, which excludes a very appealing benefits and bonus scheme. International travel to the US and the Far East maybe required.

The role:
  • ERP intermediate efficiency- manage stock levels, transport costs, forecasts and delivery schedules.
  • Cross-functional communicating with the international franchise.
  • Organising the international inbound transport of goods to both the UK and US markets.
  • Manage invoices and correlate with relevant orders.
  • Work closely with the Operations division and warehouse in the US.
  • Forecast orders from the UK and the US from manufacturing sites in the Far East.
  • Manage franchise goods through relations, order processing, stock management and seasonal demand.
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager and the UK Warehouse Manager.
  • Forecast on transport costs and analyse seasonal freight costs.
  • Lead and inspire throughout the day-to-day operational duties.
  • Analyse organisational problems and respond with new solutions and remedies.
  • Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.

Who you are:
  • You will be capable of handling a multitude of tasks, whilst maintaining a positive and responsive attitude. Operational and Logistics experience is important- understanding practical and challenging operational tasks and how to handle them at any given moment.
  • Great eye for detail.
  • Be able to show examples of your experience working within a fast-moving distribution environment.
  • You will be capable of putting your best foot forward in resolving any possible distribution and warehousing disputes/delays.
  • Strong liaising and negotiating qualities.
  • Microsoft Excel skills are essential to be a successful applicant.
