My client is growing business who are now looking for an ambitious graduate or graduate calibre individual to join their project management team. You will be looking at the sustainability of their packaging function and how you can drive continuous improvement within the business unit.

The role of the logistics project manager is to provide a comprehensive and professional support service to the senior project management team within the E-comm Distribution function.

Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties ensuring an ongoing understanding of current issues, proposing/taking action where appropriate.

Act and decide independently within delegated areas of responsibility.

General administration, word processing, data entry and filing.

Data analysis, preparation of reports and graphs relating to e-Commerce.

Actively manage the area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.

Be familiar with the project management team’s projects and supplier base.

Liaise with external service providers as required and directed by the senior logistics project manager

Ensure that a polite and professional manner is maintained in all internal/external communications.

Contribute positively and constructively to both the e-Commerce and Buying teams.

Provide cover for other juniors where necessary.

  • You will come from a logistics or supply chain related degree discipline with a 2:1 and above degree OR you will have at least two years in Logistics industry experience within a logistics business, where you have looked at work flow and continuous improvement issues.
  • You must have experience around packaging or packaging solutions within a warehouse environment
  • You will be highly analytical with a strong understanding of Excel, and be capable of creating pivot tables and V-Look ups, you will also have experience of WMS or SAP.
  • You must be ambitious and driven and be willing to go above and beyond your current position for the benefit of the team.

Job Offer

Salary is between £28,000 and £35,000 dependant on experience.
