Logistics Planner - Competitive Salary - Antrim

Your new company
Your new company is a large food manufacturing company looking for an experienced individual to join their establish team and fill a logistics planner position.

Your new role
  • Booking of daily logistics for site based on orders received from sales team
  • Cost control for logistics
  • Liaise with transport companies daily to ensure accurate load times, intake times and correct pallet counts and customer locations
  • Creation of daily address list to enable Despatch team to label jumbos and dolavs appropriately for daily shipping orders
  • Ensure Despatch team complete daily loading plan and record actual figures despatched
  • Organise transport for the return of empty dolavs and product rejects as and when they occur; complete purchase order and forward to relevant transport company
  • Organise transport for the despatch of frozen product from cold stores
  • Order pallets as and when required
  • Liaise with HSF and Palletbox to ensure correct packaging stocks available for production to continue
  • Weekly forecast demand and balance for dolavs and pallets supplied to team
  • Liaise with sales team and finance team on shipping queries
  • Liaise with customers on the availability of product in cold stores and deliveries of their orders
  • Attend daily production meetings and update on performance/ issues if appropriate

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a logistics role preferably in manufacturing environment, strong IT skills and communication skills, GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above.
