£35,000 - £45,000 / Manufacturing Manager / Wigan

Your new company

You will join a market leading organisation who design and manufacture bespoke products.

Your new role
  • To manage manufacturing activities including new manufacture, repair and modification.
  • Manage all costs to agreed budget and have responsibility for the manufacturing P&L.
  • As the companies Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for controlling the quality of welding in the fabrication departments, sustaining and improving the quality of welding across the company.
  • Regular liaison with the Engineering Department and operate together as a cross functional team.
  • Organization and control of existing Welding Procedure and qualifications ensuring all quality documentation is fully maintained.
  • Ensure team members are fully trained to use the relevant machines and equipment.
  • Team members are also able to read drawings, to produce the required quality and to maximize efficiency.
  • To apply best practice in work methods and material handling to reduce hazards and risk of accidents. You are also required to ensure a safe working environment which complies with all Health & Safety standards.
  • To actively seek and apply continuous improvements to all processes including the management system.
  • Prepare Production plans and reports for senior management.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in the Management of a team of welder / fabricators.
  • Time Served Engineer ideally with welding Inspection qualifications/experience.
  • Good understanding of fabrication and welding processes.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Understanding of company quality procedures and specific customer requirements.
  • A good knowledge of BS EN 1090 requirements.

What you'll get in return

£35,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience & qualifications
