My client, a leading and international pharmaceutical company are seeking a Master Production Scheduler / Production Planner to join their site in High Wycombe.

The Master Scheduler - Third Party Manufacturing / Production Planner , is responsible for ensuring that third party manufacturing schedules enable the delivery of finished products on time, in line with UK and International Sales and Marketing demand forecasts compliant with regulatory standards and with continuous quality of [link removed] apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Role - Master Production Scheduler / Production Planner

Key responsibilities of the Master Production Scheduler / Production Planner - Specific Departmental Functions

>?? Influencing the end to end planning process to ensure that all customer needs are met in line with minimum stock levels and supply commitments
>?? Effective/efficient planning and organising of work to meet all functional commitments
>?? Responsible for providing accurate, timely and up to date information and performance data to the Head of Third Party Manufacturing and the wider business
>?? Maintain good knowledge of relevant governance (Internal and External), SOPs and ways of working


>?? Ensure a continued focus on product availability and lead time and back-order reduction
>?? Support the development of the planning process to reduce inventory/stock write-off through minimising wastage and inefficiency
>?? Plan the third party manufacturing schedules to make the most effective and efficient use of the Company resources.
>?? Ensure the issue and acknowledgement of manufacturing schedules to relevant suppliers and departments
>?? Regular communications with customers (internal and external) to ensure customer needs are met
>?? Provide advice and guidance to solve supplier related matters


>?? Lead and manage the periodical short-term planning and scheduling activity and processes
>?? Propose third party manufacturing schedules to minimise cost whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer service delivery
>?? Complete assigned tasks effectively and on time


>?? Contribute to the team culture of continuous improvement and customer focus
>?? Communicate schedules and plans to the wider business stakeholders
>?? Responsible for health and safety of self, colleagues and visitors

Skills/experience required for the position of Master Production Scheduler / Production Planner -

Qualifications / Professional Memberships

>?? Degree or equivalent in a science based subject is desirable


>?? Good analytical and computing skills
>?? Confident in verbal and written communication
>?? Be able to take initiative to drive success for their area with minimal input from senior management
>?? Displays and encourages a positive, dynamic personality accompanied by excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
>?? Able to lead a team of peers to success through target setting and objectives
>?? Able to set targets and monitor and report on efficiencies and productivity
>?? Accustomed to interacting effectively at all levels within the organisation, as well as with external partners/suppliers and regulatory authorities


>?? +3 years’ experience in a master scheduling role or related function
>?? Ideally experience should have been gained within the pharmaceutical industry
>?? Demonstrable knowledge of GMP and Regulatory governance and requirements within the Company and the wider Pharmaceuticals industry
>?? Comprehensive knowledge of master scheduling principles
>?? Knowledge and awareness of company change and quality processes
