Overall responsibility for determining the production capacity needed to meet changing demand. Fully understands how the business operates and plans for future capacity requirements. Undertakes planning activities to ensure targets are met and optimises manufacturing efficiency, and costs.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice material & capacity planning strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance


  • Lead capacity planning activities ensuring delivery against operational requirements whilst optimising manufacturing efficiency and costs


  • Refine systems and methods to continually improve plans so that the business can better anticipate customer needs


  • Assess existing capacity and develop operational plans and forecasts based on future plans for demand


  • Monitor key manufacturing processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints and provide analysis
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives that optimise capacity and ensure best return on investment without adding risk or disruption



Profile

  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development


  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally


  • Commercial and financial acumen


  • Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
