The Role:
  • This is a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role within a fantastic forward thinking, global company.
  • The role calls for excellent customer service and the ability to actively prioritize work to ensure the lines are always performing at world class levels.
  • If this is not happening then your job will be to work out permanent solutions to implement rapidly, to maintain as little impact to the operation as possible
  • Your remit will cover work on all operational machinery including but not limited to manufacturing and packing machinery, line set-up and LOTO, planned maintenance, line improvements and breakdowns
  • You will have a good working knowledge of mechanical systems and computer controlled packaging machinery equipment would be an advantage.

Required Skills
  • It is essential that you have a recognised Engineering qualification, to a minimum of a level 3 standard or time served apprenticeship.
  • Have Engineering experience within a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems including the ability to fault find and repair complex mechanical systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the production teams over machine issues, time frames and solutions.
  • Have experience within the FMCG Industry particularly food.
  • Have knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • Have experience of electrical systems including PLC equipment.
