My client, a leading 3PL based in the West Midlands, are seeking an experienced MHE Manager to look after the maintenance for their MHE equipment nationally.

Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure cost effective, up to date maintenance and service of MHE Equipment at all times without compromising safety or legal parameters
  • Review and challenge repairs and maintenance costs
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on MHE equipment to hire
  • Continual monitoring of current MHE assets to effect ongoing cost controls and efficiencies
  • Manage suppliers and agree/ monitor service arrangements
  • Identify and implement record keeping improvements
  • Cost control of maintenance and suppliers and identification of key trends to reduce maintenance spend and other MHE related costs, identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives
  • Work with sites to reduce damage spend, manage dilapidation costs and/ or asset sales
  • Audit service agents and attend supplier reviews
  • Control maintenance, damage and repair expenditure
  • Define and agree MHE equipment specifications and evaluate new equipment
  • Ensure adherence to all EU an UK legislative compliance for MHE equipment
  • Liaise with sites to ensure optimum utilisation and provide support and service governed by SLA and maintenance contracts
  • Manage MHE projects as required
  • Consolidate weekly/ monthly KPIs and provide reports
  • Recommend both operational and procedural policies and amendments
  • Ensure MHE asset register is kept up to date





Profile

  • Previous experience in MHE equipment Management
  • Experience working in a FMCG environment
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to the correct level
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually
  • Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Numerate and literate
  • Able to understand and amend (where appropriate) legal contracts
  • Clean UK Driving Licence as travel required to all UK sites





Job Offer

Salary on offer is between £50,000 and £55,000 plus package.
