To ensure specific product line stock availability within all sites and depots and to maintain future supply planning. To lease with all internal and external parties to ensure that the product line supply chain is planned and executed without negative impact to customers and supply partners.



Client Details

My client is a leading manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes

Description

  • Forecast and plan individual product lines in-line with overall sales budget and ensure that all plans are executed accurately within SAP.



  • Manage new article master data generation in SAP.



  • Planning and inventory management of all ‘phase-out’ and obsolete products.



  • Action all MRP outputs – place new order, push-out, pull-in etc.



  • Action all SAP exceptions to ensure continuity of supply (e.g. item and vendor master data).



  • Lease with production and warehousing to ensure that all issues are resolved within required time frame (e.g. incorrect delivery quantity).



  • Lease with suppliers to ensure complete purchase schedule adherence – manage and report any potential ‘gaps’ in supply and work on resolution with the team and supplier.



  • Work with product managers and operations to ensure that any potential incoming quality issues are identified and resolved effectively.



  • Plan and arrange logistics and transport schedules with suppliers and ensure the most efficient and cost effective methods are used.



  • Creation of KPI reporting data within area of responsibility.



  • Monitor stock levels of all product lines and highlight any areas of concern and examine potential route causes (e.g. stock-outs and overstocks).



  • Carry out forecasting trend analysis for products and highlight any exception's, changing any planning forecasts or parameters where appropriate.



  • Cover other areas of responsibility within the planning team to cover vacations and sickness when required.





Profile

  • Product planning within a customer focused manufacturing environment (S&OP experience beneficial).



  • Use of SAP within an MRP based planning function.



  • Management of multiple SKU’s across several product lines.



  • Forecasting and planning using historical and future forecast methodologies.



  • Planning within a multi-site environment would be beneficial.



  • High competency with Microsoft Office tools – especially MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.



  • Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge would be an advantage.



  • Cross functional team work.



  • High level of numeracy, detail and articulation.



  • Strong team player with the ability to communicate at all levels in a professional manner.



  • Strong organisational skills.



  • A self-starter who is always motivated to question and improve their personal and teams methods of working.



  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and multi-task.



  • Ability to deal with potential issues in a pro-active, calm and detailed manner.



  • Proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
