Description
The Operations Coordinator will hold the following responsibilities:
Planning, coordination & control of the production process for specified customers
Managing production schedules to establish lead times of each operation to meet shipping dates
Ensure that UK production (packing) is cost effective & identify savings where possible
Maintain inventory of materials needed to complete production
Raise purchase orders and delivery notes, update goods-in and finished goods information on the system
Chase UK suppliers for delivery dates, negotiating to improve dates where necessary
Chase Far East suppliers for delivery dates, monitor production to ensure shipping dates are met
Book in deliveries with customers and hauliers.
Negotiate rates & trading terms with shipping agents, finding & trialling alternative suppliers where necessary
Maintain a good working knowledge of tariff codes & customs entry forms to assist with duty/VAT entry queries.
