Page Personnel Logistics are currently looking to recruit an Operations Shift Manager for our client in Enfield.

Client Details

Our client are aw ell know furniture distributor. You will work within customer distribution centres servicing 5 stores across the South East.

Description

In the role of Operations Shift Manager yoju will have the following responsibilituies:

  • To manage day to day operations of the CDC for the shift to ensure high standards of customer service in all aspects of the delivery

  • To manage the CDC team ensuring efficient daily operations, including inbound delivery management, checking goods, loading deliveries and dispatching vehicles according to agreed schedules

  • Accountability for all activities within the operational areas of the CDC as defined by the CDC Manager on a daily basis

  • To assure consistently high standards of customer service and operational excellence in the LDC

  • To lead, coach, develop and motivate the drivers and warehouse staff

  • To assist with routing of vehicles and planning shift activities as required by CDC Manager

  • Loading boxes in accordance with daily schedules, and ensure timely dispatch of vehicles

  • Accountable for setting appropriate standards of operating

  • Responsible for team development, and performance

  • Maintain high customer NPS through delivery crews

  • Work with CDC Manager to maintain standards of regulatory compliance for trucks and Health & Safety

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping compliance

  • Manage teams to ensure we achieve high productivity and order per hour through direction and motivation



Profile



We are looking to speak to candidate who have worked within a similar role who have excellent customer service skills. You will be able to demonstrate professional conduct at all times when representing the Company to its customers and staff and will be smart and presentable appearance at all times. Candidates should be capable of managing performance and encouraging great performance from the team. You will be fully conversant with the Transport Law governing Driving Hours and have a knowledge of daily vehicle maintenance. This will sometimes be a hands on role and candidates must be able to lift and carry furniture
