Responsible for assuring the continuous supply of assigned components to (a) Support customer service goals and objectives (b) Minimise cost of production, and (c) Achieve inventory reduction initiatives

A global giant who manufactures and supplies in to the Chemical and biopharmaceutical industries.

Description


  • Prepare monthly Material and Labour plan for the stream


  • Manage internal and external Kanban programs. Includes setting Kanban levels, trigger points, safety stock levels, and lead times


  • Schedule future production plans


  • Effectively communicate forecasted requirements to external suppliers


  • Run assembly scheduling tool and level load plan with new data received


  • Evaluate and act upon the material requirements plan (MRP) for assigned commodities. Generate and adjusts purchase orders and/or shop work orders to support production schedules daily. Effectively communicates areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals and/or suppliers. Inputs, maintains, and adjusts records or transactions to ensure system validity

Profile



This role would suit someone in the early days of their Procurement and Supply Chain career. Candidates with a degree or accreditation with Procurement or Supply Chain management will be of interest to my client as this is a role which will evolve as time goes on with plenty of training available. This is the kind of company who is succession planning before you even start and you could go on to become a future leader if you apply yourself.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective, fact based decisions. Includes a strong working knowledge of word processing, spread sheet and scheduling software

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in an innovative work environment


  • Appropriate qualification in business or technical field desired

Job Offer

The salary for this role will range between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on background.
