Drax Power Limited is the owner and operator of the largest coal fired power station in the UK, supplying around 7% of the UK's electricity. To keep a plant of this size running efficiently requires organisation and expertise. So if you have an HNC in engineering or equivalent experience, and can co-ordinate teams, then you have the potential to be a Process Supervisor at Drax.

You will take a lead role in the shift management team ensuring safe operation of the plant, along with effective management of the materials handling activities and team performance to achieve production targets. To do this you will work closely with the process coordinator and the maintenance and planning departments to agree schedules. You will communicate with the Generation Shift Manager out of hours to ensure the department's efficient operation.

Finally, as a mentor to your team, you will help them understand our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and set high standards so that we can achieve this. Alongside your understanding of the sector, you must possess excellent communication and leadership skills. It's also crucial that you're highly motivated and can inspire people through coaching and training. Your business acumen will mean that you can quickly adapt to our changing needs and provide solutions logically and quickly.
