My client is looking for a talented Procurement Advisor to support internal departments with the procurement of goods and services to ensure the group obtains value for money in accordance with agreed deadlines and performance indicators

Client Details

My client is an iconic landmark on the Liverpool Waterfront who are looking for a talented procurement professional to support the Head of Procurement in the purchasing team where they are looking to promote the procurement service and raise awareness of best practice wherever possible.


The Role:

  • To ensure that the Group obtains value for money for all externally purchased goods and services in line with internal Procurement Procedures.
  • To support managers with the procurement of a range of contracts for goods and services in accordance with agreed deadlines and performance indicators.
  • To support managers by providing advice on options appraisal, tendering strategy, and the development of selection and evaluation criteria, and to advise on every aspect of the procurement process.
  • To undertake and manage various procurement projects as directed by the Head of Procurement and successfully produce agreed outputs within the timescale required.
  • To assist with the maintenance of a record of the savings achieved through the introduction of more efficient and economic procurement arrangements.
  • To carry out research and analysis in connection with identifying new suppliers, goods and services and using the information gained advise managers as to the appropriate course of action.
  • To support and advise internal customers when sourcing new products and to ensure this is done within the corporate guidelines.
  • To liaise and communicate with suppliers and contractors, and other organisations, both verbally and in writing as required.
  • To carry out all procurement in a legal, ethical and accountable manner in accordance with regulatory requirements.


The Person:

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written*
  • The ability to negotiate with external suppliers
  • Attention to detail.
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate workloads effectively.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently or as part of a team*
  • CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
  • Tender process management
  • The managing of procurement projects
  • IT literate and Microsoft experience
  • Can work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Experience of prioritising own workload.

Job Offer

My client is looking to offer a base salary of up to £30k + comptitive package for the ideal candidate
