The main purpose of the role is to support and develop the overall Procurement Framework for the procurement function within a FTSE100 financial services organisation. You will play a key role in supporting the team in all analytical data management, responsible for oversight and contract governance within the Procurement team and Subject Matter Expert for key issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To promote Procurement policies and guidance documentation
  • Conduct risk based reporting to support Procurement policies
  • Maintain central Procurement Risk Register and provide support to Supplier Relationship Managers in the development of specific Risk Registers for procurement activity within their areas
  • Develop and promote the use of a Procurement and/or Contract Risk System to create greater company wide visibility and control of supply base and contract management
  • To provide training to Supplier Relationship Managers on appropriate Procurement processes
  • Work flexibly on a range of agreed projects which may include ad-hoc contract review, delivery of tenders and assistance with contract negotiations with preferred suppliers
  • Responsible for the oversight of named Procurement Categories which may become owned by the Procurement Support team over time

Skills Required:
  • Procurement knowledge and experience within a contractual and commercial environment
    Governance and risk management experience
  • Negotiation skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong time management skills
  • Microsoft Office – including advance Excel Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
