MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

 
The Procurement Assistant’s role is supporting the marketing brand team by connecting with creative agencies to negotiate rates and managing and owning the payment process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience in procurement and who is looking to develop and gain further opportunities within the function.
Understanding marketing services to faciliate and ensure the smooth running of process and knowledge of e tendor/e sourcing is beneficial. This is an operational role involving end to end management of purchase orders, regular review of the preferred supplied list and making sure competitive rates are obtained and the best service provided by stakeholders. 
 
 
JOB SUMMARY

  • Assisting with a variety of projects within procurement, identifying opportunities to create business value / competitive advantage and mitigate risk in a compliant manner.
  • Assisting with and leading some procurement projects obtaining buy-in from stakeholders including Technology, Marketing, Supply Chain and Product Stewardship
  • Using data to provide analysis through SAP and Excel
  • End to end management of purchase orders from generation to payment using Ariba
  • Developing jointly-agreed performance measurement criteria / frameworks with suppliers in order to continuously monitor and improve supplier performance, ensuring these are embedded with contracts.
  • Perform / co-ordinate / support supplier performance management activities, including the collation of performance data, support for supplier performance reviews and driving continuous improvements / performance improvements as required with other business stakeholders.
  • Selecting suppliers and leading / supporting supplier negotiations / developing new contracts and ensuring efficient change management
  • Supporting the effective transition and set up of new sourcing arrangements in a seamless and timely manner.
  • Support delivery of the contracts compliance agenda.
  • Engaging and working collaboratively with business stakeholders to enable the effective development and/ or delivery of category sourcing strategies and plans plus post contract supplier management activities as necessary.
  • Providing Functional (Procurement) input and subject matter expertise to SPU projects

 
KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s .
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Microsoft Office – Excel – pivot tables, v look ups and formulas.
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management.
  • SAP and Ariba – desirable.
  • E sourcing/e tendor desirable.
  • Microsoft Office-Excel-Pivot Table-, V Look ups and formulas
  • The ability to network and operate effectively in a global role within a matrix structure.
