The Procurement Assistant will be tasked with supporting procurement activities across various fruit categories within the business to ensure quality supply in line with commercial expectations and strategy.

Client Details

Our client is a very successful FMCG business who are now looking for a Procurement Assistant to join their team in Kent. They are offering a great opportunity to gain exposure in a range of areas and to develop your career in a busy and fast paced environment.


The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Collaborating and preparing relevant data for reporting and analysis
  • Supporting the Procurement and Supply Chain team in development of seasonal reviews
  • Assisting in the planning of orders to meet product programmes
  • Undertaking projects with the continuous improvement team to help inform buying decisions
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in regards to stock, packaging, transport and production
  • Assisting in the review of the supplier base, negotiating and ensuring best value for money
  • Supporting in any new product development
  • Travelling to off-site meeting locations when required


The successful Procurement Assistant will be able to demonstrate:
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence
  • IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using Navision - desirable
  • Ability to speak languages - desirable
  • Exposure to the fresh produce industry - desirable
