Procurement Category Manager – IT - 55k-65k – Iconic Retailer - London

A leading retailer seeks an experienced IT procurement professional to join their Procurement function. This gargantuan firm has undergone a period of transformation that is already reaping immense financial benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a new IT procurement strategy, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and managing and developing your own team.

  • Managing an IT category spend of up to £200million, designing and implementing new procurement strategies
  • Supporting the Head of Procurement in developing and delivering the overall procurement strategy.
  • Deliver result analysis and presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Forge and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers
  • Identify opportunities to drive savings and efficiency across the IT procurement process

  • Strong IT category management skills
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships Internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Extensive IT related market knowledge
  • Change management experience
  • Strong analytical and e-procurement skills
  • Demonstrable history of providing substantial benefits- cost savings and/or operational efficiency
