An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Global Category Manager indirects to be based from my clients head office in Liverpool

Main Purpose of the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading, high performing global organisation and you will be jointly responsible for a spend of roughly US$140m and developing a category strategy for each area. You'll engage with, and influence, senior leaders to approach commercial decisions more strategically, in line with business requirements and value for money criteria; creating and establishing clearly defined targets and outcomes aligned to opportunities to deliver transformational value.

Skills and Experience Required:

-Leadership experience in hands-on, category management roles across the majority of our indirect spend categories, in an international environment
-A proven ability to review procurement demands and trends; to develop strategies to fill identified gaps.
-A proven track record of ensuring value for money
-A demonstrable track record of leading and developing others, including in remote working environments
-Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills both internally (at the Senior Leadership Team level) and externally with suppliers
-A proven ability to set up complex, commercial contracts
-The ability to travel to Regional/Country offices - around 10%

The role offers a salary of c£50K, with market leading benefit package
