Procurement Category Manager (HR and Marketing) for a Global Financial Institution based in Central London

Your new company
You will join one of the world’s largest financial institutions based at their main hub in Central London. Your new role
You will be responsible for the Marketing (agencies, advertising, design, events, print publications, content, web/digital) and HR (recruitment, learning & development and employee benefits) category. Your main focus will be to manage the strategic supplier base in terms of maximising value, reducing complexity and reducing cost where possible.

You will look after the category and aim to deliver value to the organisation in terms of contract negotiation, price, risk mitigation and quality. You will need to use all available resources in terms of supplier analysis, internal/external relationships and insight in order to advise the business regarding the supply market, spend analysis and value chain opportunities.

You will manage the compliance and governance for the marketing category across the business and further developing the strategy in order to improve service levels as well as focus on driving down spend. There will be aspects of your role whereby you will oversee the negotiation, tendering and selection of supplier as and when required. Reviewing of contracts will be a key focus to ensure value is maximised across the marketing category vendors.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need prior experience managing the marketing and HR categories within the financial services, my client would be open to seeing candidates from the insurance and/or professional services sectors too. You will need to be degree level qualified with CIPS being highly desirable.

As you’d expect, stakeholder engagement is key in this role so you will need to be an excellent communicator/influencer. You will need a proven track record of managing/leading business change and transformation of business relationships.

You will need extensive knowledge/experience of procurement principles and best practice and be forward thinking in terms of new ways of working and innovation.
