Procurement Contract & Compliance Manager - London - Up to £50,000 - 12 Month FTC

Your new company

Our client is a successful, world renowned Property Development company. The company interacts with thousands of organisations and millions of customers each year. Your new office location will be in London. The team is vibrant, dynamic and efficiency is expected. The Procurement team is developing/expanding and they are looking for a skilled Procurement Contract & Compliance Manager to join their team on a fixed term basis.

Your new role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your role as a Procurement Contract & Compliance Manager will be supporting the teams to fulfil the companies procurement objectives. You will need to engage with key stakeholders across the business and mitigate for procurement risks.

Spend for this organisation is separated into Construction & Property, Professional Services and Corporate Indirects.

Your responsibilities will include, reducing cost through effective negotiation and supplier sourcing whilst maintaining the highest standards possible through probity and supplier relationship management.

You will be involved in the organisation’s end to end procurement processes, with efficient execution of related activity. You will need to evaluate supplier performance, pricing and contract terms. You will act as a key contact for the internal and external stakeholders. This role requires you to prepare pre-contract and contractual documentation experience.

Part of your new role will be Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting. You will be undertaking direction of the Procurement Manager and perform ad-hoc procurement and contract tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous legal experience, at paralegal level or above is essential.

You should be educated to degree level, or have relevant work experience that is equivalent to a degree level qualification. CIPS qualification is desirable, but not essential. You’ll need to have a good knowledge of contractual laws including GDPR.

As well as being innovative, you should be able to communicate effectively, both in terms of writing and verbally. You must have strong negotiation and consulting skills. You should be able to undertake tender processes and contract activities. You should be able to work effectively in team, have integrity and be organised. You should be proficient in using computers and business software such as Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills. For this job, previous e-procurement experience is advantageous.
