Your now Company Your new company is a global financial institution supporting the wider financial services industry with a range of services and products. Their portfolio encompasses a range of bonds, derivatives and equities. They are a world leader in their analytical solutions, and are involved in providing risk management services. Based in the City of London, but with operations across Europe, North America and Asia.

Your new role

In your new role you will be working within the IT professional services and outsourcing team, collaborating with the rest of the category managers to focus on educating the company further on procurement process. Working on embedding category strategy further in line with business requirements and managing an array of suppliers, from tier 1 to niche. Your main responsibilities will be around creating a new strategy for working with IT consultancies.

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to succeed you will have proven experience working on a degree of IT consultancies, this will include sourcing through to supplier management. Knowing how to consolidate services or separate niche providers. You will have a background in influencing challenging stakeholders, as well as developing strategies and helping to embed them into the business. You must be able to demonstrate analytical, problem solving, project management and decision making skills. Experience of working with an off-shore Procurement team that delivers services to stakeholders would be a massive advantage.
