Procurement Manager – Global Fortune 500 Firm – London - £50k-£70k + Package

A major Fortune 500 firm is urgently seeking a polished and high-achieving procurement professional to head up the Indirect Procurement Category. You will be directly managing 2-3 procurement specialists, be regularly engaging with senior stakeholders, and have a personal spend portfolio of £100m+.

Despite being a well-established organisation, Group Sourcing is less than 10 years old and is still in an exciting period of transformation from a stand-alone sourcing team to a world class central procurement hub. As such the senior directors are ready to take on a procurement professional with experience in at least one indirect category (e.g. Marketing, HR, Professional Services, IT) to invest heavily in via offering them personally tailored development.

In turn you will mentor and support the next generation of sourcing specialists, thus helping this high-performing organisation to continue to climb the FTSE 100 list.

In order to be successful in your application you must:-
Have significant procurement or purchasing experience, and be fully knowledgeable of the RFP / RFQ process
Be a skilful negotiator with an impressive track record of delivering large cost savings
Have extensive sourcing experience across indirect categories (Marketing, HR, Professional Services, IT)
Be degree qualified (or equivalent)
Be MCIPS qualified (or studying towards)
Have experience of managing / mentoring procurement professionals (or be willing to take up this responsibility)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fast-developing procurement professional to gain exposure to a large and diverse spend portfolio, manage a team of ambitious sourcing specialists, and progress rapidly within a vibrant and high-performing global function.
