1st Executive are currently working with an Internationally recognised Construction contractor who as part of their on-going growth have a requirement for a Procurement Manager to work on a number of projects in London.

Working in the position of Procurement Manager you will play a key role in the on-going delivery and savings across the sub-contract categories on a number of high profile new build construction projects. This role will see you work closely with the Head of Procurement whilst also developing long term relationships with both clients and suppliers.

The successful candidate will be a forward thinking individual who has a proven track record of delivering savings, enjoys the day to day challenge of working in a fast paced procurement function, strong background working within construction procurement and ideally an in-depth understanding of Sub-Contract procurement.

Duties in this role will include:
  • Procure all major materials and services, including subcontracts, in collaboration with our projects and business units, evaluate supplier responses, negotiate with suppliers and place orders.
  • Liaise with project teams and business managers to understand project requirements and develop project specific procedures, procurement plans and schedules
  • Manage procurement and supply chain staff.
  • Compile performance management information relating to suppliers for onward communication to the Chief Buyer and Senior Managers, to ensure continuous improvement within the supply chain
  • Manage procurement relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of market developments, demand trends and risks and ensure that client’s requirements are understood
  • Focus on delivering added value through technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency.

  • Proven track record of delivery
  • Strong client & stakeholder engagement skills
  • Dynamic forward thinking individual with a commercial approach to procurement
  • Experience with Construction projects
  • End-to-end procurement process
  • Project Management experience
  • NEC, JCT contract experience desirable
