A permanent position within a leading educational facility has arisen and requires a personable, strategically-minded, determined professional to head up their procurement function.

Your Next Position

As Procurement and Contracts manager, you will be solely responsible for heading up the school’s procurement function, taking ownership for medium and long term strategy across a range of categories. Key responsibilities include:

•Developing and implementing an effective procurement category management strategy, ensuring it is in line with business objectives in order to achieve desired output.

•Completing, maintaining and monitoring a contract management database to ensure that supplier lists are up-to-date and relevant. This position will require the successful candidate to develop and manage an effective record keeping system, covering a wide range of contracts and suppliers.

•Taking ownership of the end to end management of the tender process, from initial information gathering through to contract award.

•Ensuring all policies and procedures adhere to industry and company legislation and regulation.

The Pre-Requisites for Success

You will have strong experience in end to end procurement category management and have taken the lead on multiple high value tenders. You will also possess significant contractual awareness, and have drafted various contracts, while liaising with other internal stakeholders from areas such as legal and finance. In addition to this, you will have developed and implemented strategy for a wide range of categories, including: real estate, facilities, utilities, marketing and professional services. Experience from within other educational institutions and/or not for profit organisations is beneficial, however wider private sector experience will also be considered.
