An new opportunity to join an established organisation in the residential sector. As Procurement Manager you have responsibility to support Contract Managers across a variety of business units to ensure effective procurement frameworks whilst adding value for the business and end customer.

Description
  • Support procurement and contract management governance frameworks.
  • Ensuring up to date knowledge of changing legislative requirements and evolving best practise is shared and implemented throughout the organisation
  • Build key relationships across the business to build partnerships and act as a trusted advisor, providing specialist technical advice and support to the business.
  • Monitor procurement activity to ensure compliance with business policy and identify and report on areas of best practise and control gaps.
  • Assist the executive team in determining scope and scheduling for Corporate Projects and Programmes, assessing critical dependencies and capacity.
  • Develop resources to support project and programme managers
  • Develop and carry out assurance strategies for corporate programmes and projects.
  • Prepare and submit assurance reports and status reporting to project boards and executive teams.

Profile

  • Understanding of Procurement Contract Management

  • Proven ability of processing tenders in excess of OJEU threshold

  • Understanding of using and maintaining E-Procurement systems

  • Able to develop controls, policies and procedures

  • Background of running various indirect procurement tenders

  • Ability to implement best practice procurement

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • CIPS qualified or working toward



Job Offer

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
