Working with a global, award winning FMCG company the Procurement Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the purchasing strategy for the group in order to support their fast-growing business needs and 5 year plan.

Client Details

A truly pioneering global company with ownership of their entire supply chain from inception, production and brand development through to Import and distribution then finally to online retail. Winners of multiple awards they are well renowned for their technology, innovation and creativity. Due to significant growth which isn’t showing signs of slowing they are now looking to expand their Procurement team and recruit a Procurement Manager into their Tonbridge, Kent office.



Description

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the purchasing strategy for the group in order to support their fast-growing business needs and 5 year plan.
  • Create, implement and manage the purchasing strategy for products and services that meet the needs of the business
  • Identify, develop and maintain strong and effective supplier relationships
  • Negotiate best prices and terms for the business
  • Research new products and services to meet requirements as they arise
  • Monitor business demand and product/service availability ensuring purchases are made as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to determine requirements and budgets
  • Manage budgets and report to senior management and total group when necessary
  • Support, develop and manage the Procurement team



Profile

The successful Procurement Manager will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience within a procurement role, ideally with a FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to network and build positive relationships at all levels
  • Proven experience of managing multiple budgets
  • Excellent level of numeracy and financial analysis
  • Proven people management experience
  • CIPS qualification
