Job Description

A key opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take their place in this newly created role as procurement manger for this £25m + turnover plastics and technical packaging manufacturing organisation.

Initially focused on the full review of raw materials (Plastics - White Masterbatch, Corrugated + part finished materials) and capex spend C. £9m p/a this role will be

the direct commercial contract negotiation and implementation lead and will also investigate opportunities across LCC (low cost country) sourcing opportunities to find new international suppliers to combat a very collusive EU supplier market to initiate cost savings and supply chain value addition.

Reporting directly to the Group FD and procurement process development is part of the key business strategy. The organisation has 2 UK manufacturing sites each with its own individual purchasing administration teams, this newly created role will be operating at group procurement / contracts manager level for both sites.

This is certainly an exciting full ownership opportunity within a growing organisation and will offer much future potential role development inclusive of individual site purchasing structure, process and management which will allow for career development.

- Salary offering C. £30000 - £35000 + benefits package

To be considered for this opportunity candidates will require the following skills / experience:

- Proven procurement and cost savings experience

- Comprehensive senior level contracts negotiation and implementation skills

- Proven procurement development within a manufacturing environment

- Prior experience of international LCC souring / international procurement implementation

- Experience with the specific plastics raw materials a strong preference

- Degree level or CIPS qualification

- The desire to develop both effective cost savings while gaining value from the supply base

- Foresight and strategic ability for longer term procurement development
