The Procurement Officer, based in Doncaster, will have the opportunity to work for a well-established, reputable organisation, who are well known for their excellent flexibility and benefits package and commitment to employee training and development.



Client Details



The Procurement Officer will have responsibility for project procurement activities of goods and services, including requirement gathering, strategic sourcing, tendering, evaluation and award through to contract management and supplier relationship management.



Description



The successful candidate will:

  • Develop tender documents and co-ordinate the tender and evaluation processes and contract negotiation to ensure compliance with procedures & legislation
  • Research market information before undertaking any procurement activity to ensure the effective management of the goods and service
  • Engage and influence stakeholders effectively
  • Promote, develop and manage partnering arrangements and strategic partnerships
  • Coordinate the contract management, promotion and appropriate use of contracts throughout the business including annual reviews, performance including contract resolution, service level agreements, and contract negotiations
  • Conducting strategic analysis of spend across the organisation and liaison with business users to identify future requirements
  • Line manage 2 Buyer’s (no previous management experience required)







Profile



The successful candidate will have experience of the following:





  • Experience in a similar indirect procurement role
  • Strong OJEU experience and good knowledge of EU legislation
  • Contract management experience across a wide variety of service contracts
  • Good supplier relationship skills
  • Strong experience influencing internal customers & stakeholders
  • Member Member of CIPS Level 6





Job Offer



The successful Procurement Officer will receive a basic salary of up to £35,000 plus excellent benefits
