Procurement Officer role in Co. Tyrone - Temporary ongoing

Your new company
You will be joining a well-established NI public sector organisation who are currently in the process of growth and strategic re-structuring with new partnerships and professional accreditation's gained over recent months, which is why they are seeking to expand their internal procurement team on a temporary basis with the view to turning into permanent roles.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Services, you will play a major role in developing and maintaining the companies procurement strategy by contributing to its annual review, planning and maintenance whilst monitoring its delivery. The Procurement Officer will provide leadership in the development of internal policies, ensure that all staff are training and up-to-date with NI legislation and full management of their own set purchasing section to achieve best value for money and quality. Also, you will build professional relationships with existing partnerships and establish new relationships with upcoming accreditation's and contracts.

What you'll need to succeed
Although experience within the public sector is not necessary, it will be looked favourably upon along with 1+ years experience working within a procurement orientated role. Also, you will need to be computer literate with good communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships.

What you'll get in return
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a growing organisation with internal progression prospects for all employees, along with flexible working hours and an overall salary/benefits package that is above the market average.
