ABOUT BURBERRY BUSINESS SERVICES

Burberry is opening a brand new Shared Service Centre - Burberry Business Services, based in Leeds at their stunning new premises in the heart of the City Centre. This Centre of Excellence will be an extension of their Head Office in London and house core functions; HR, Finance, Procurement, Customer Services and I.T. helpdesk.



JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Source to Contract support is being delivered to the Category Managers in accordance with agreed scope and timeline and deliver excellence in Procurement through timely and accurate service to the Category Managers and business stakeholders



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sourcing support
  • Support Category Planning (incl. spend analysis, market analysis and sourcing wave strategy)
  • Support development of sourcing project (incl. set up event, baseline, contract landscape review, forecast analysis)
  • Create initial supply market assessment (incl. market dynamics, suppliers performance, identification of alternative suppliers)
  • Support Category Manager in development of Sourcing Strategy
  • Establish and execute e-sourcing events (incl. auction strategies, configure & test event, ensure suppliers connectivity, draft document, manage event & support negotiation)
  • Manage e-Auction events (incl. train suppliers, support live events, place surrogate bids, monitor supplier behaviour, analyse results)
  • Manage contract maintenance & supplier performance & relationship management (incl. contract execution and service implementation, load, support and manage contracts in system, identify and supports continuous improvement opportunities, supplier performance scorecards)
  • Analytics Support (reporting)
  • Produce and deliver required reports (incl. report generation, extract data, value tracking, reports distribution)
  • Drive report compliance (incl. maintain reporting quality, support continuous improvement, monitor report need)
  • Produce and deliver analysis (incl. supplier analysis, market analysis, cost models and RFP analysis)
  • Policy Setting & Interpretation support
  • Receive and confirm new request for policy changes
  • Draft initial version of policy changes / new policy for review

Leadership
  • Manage teams of 5 – 7 resources to performing Source to Contract support activities within the BBS
  • Train, develop and coach team and assist them with complex activities as needed
  • Manage, motivate and develop a team of professionals / associates / operational team in order to provide services contributing to the delivery of business objectives.
  • Set process based objectives and targets for individuals that are linked to their performance objectives as well as overall Team delivery objectives
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members and conduct performance reviews

Continuous improvement
  • Apply understanding of assigned business process to identify gaps and propose continuous improvement measures
  • Work closely with the process owner and team lead to understand root causes and represent process procedures, practicalities and exceptions



PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Strong management experience (5+ years) within Procurement delivering against targets. Proven success in managing, organizing, and/or completing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Good knowledge of procurement concepts, processes and techniques including commercial contracts negotiation skills and relationship management
  • Experience supporting the implementation of sourcing methodologies for category management
  • Knowledge of e-sourcing solutions required (preferably Ariba) and SAP
  • Demonstrated leadership talent with ability to motivate all levels of stakeholders by virtue of keen business acumen, excellent judgment, professional competence, credibility, flexibility, and personal integrity
  • Ability to build and foster productive working relationships
  • Superior ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to influence change in others through role modelling
  • Ability to impact team morale, sense of belonging and participation
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks error free, with limited supervision and within agreed timeline.
  • Ability to adopt a customer-centric approach ensuring that the business stakeholders are satisfied with the service delivered
