Procurement Specialist - Global Remit
Indirect categories - Marketing, HR, Professional Services, Travel

A world leading blue chip organisation are looking for a Procurement specialist to help strategically drive their Procurement team forward across a number of indirect categories.

You will be required to use strategic sourcing techniques and best practice procurement, whilst implementing savings across categories - spend areas could include Management Consultancy, Marketing, Legal, HR and Travel among others. The spend of these categories runs well into hundreds of £M.

Please note - extensive experience within indirect procurement is a pre-requisite for this role.

This Procurement role will see you:

Develop strategic sourcing strategies across indirect spend
Engage and gain buy-in from key internal and external stakeholders and building effective relationships across global operations
Challenge the current ?status quo? and introduce new ways of saving costs
Lead in the promotion of procurement ?best practice? across the company
Be responsible for formulating and managing commercial agreements

To succeed in this Procurement role you will need:

A solid background within indirect procurement
Have good commercial acumen and be able to present the benefits of procurement to company stakeholders
Be able to illustrate the gravitas to influence stakeholders
Have previously worked across a global remit and / or different operational areas within a multi faceted business
In depth knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology
A track record of developing a category at your disposal
Be degree educated and ideally hold professional membership i.e. MCIPS qualified
