Your new company

Looking for a new role in Procurement? Our client is a growing food manufacturer looking for a Procurement Specialist. Their cutting edge technology provides tailor made food packages for their customers. The role will require you to split your time between locations in South West London throughout each week.

Your new role

As a Procurement Specialist, you will need to be familiar with the end to end procurement process and able to take lead of procurement projects as well as support the Procurement Manager with contract negotiations insights and data analysis. You will need to assist the Supply Chain team and bring in new suppliers. You will need to assess/agree when necessary the demands of the wider team, establishing buying requirements and identifying potential suppliers. You will need to work with suppliers, obtain quotations and negotiate/close deals. As part of this role you will need to draft and review contracts and there will also be cross function project management.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be great at working in a team and contribute driven culture of a rapidly growing start-up company. You will always be looking for ways to develop the company, and improve your skills in buying and negotiation. As well as being commercially minded you will ideally have previous exposure to operations/supply chain preferably in a SME. You will have been responsible for budgets and expenditure in previous roles. Your communication skills must be strong and you must be able to manage cross functional projects with internal stakeholders. In relation to this, you need to be able to engage well with stakeholders, and thus need strong influencing skills. You should also have a working knowledge of procurement processes with particularly the tender process.
