The Production Planner (Food Manufacturing) will assist in planning the sites production and supply chain activities to ensure customer service and cost targets are being met.

Client Details

Working exclusively with Michael Page our client are the UK leaders in their field manufacturing and supplying high quality products to the UK supermarkets. They are the largest scale manufacturer of their product in Europe and have a 90% value share of their market in the UK. They are now seeking a Production Planner (Food Manufacturing) to join their site in Maidstone, Kent.


The Production Planner (Food Manufacturing) will be responsible for planning the sites Production and Supply Chain activities to ensure the delivery of a minimum of 99% customer service at minimal cost, ensuring that appropriate plant capacity is aligned with forecasted demand, issues are highlighted and resolutions are sought.

  • Ownership and control of any processes associated with production planning, site utilisation, and product availability with our customers
  • Liaise with internal and external bodies to develop strategies that optimise promotional activity, increases demand and improves product availability.
  • Drive information flow between NPD, Production and Supply Chain
  • Responsible for the accuracy and communication of all planning performance metrics
  • Ensures team delivers agreed KPIs and systems are in place to collect the necessary data
  • Create, analyse and monitor KPI data, highlighting trends and issues, where appropriate.


The successful Production Planner (Food Manufacturing) will be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong use of Production Planning & ERP/MRP systems to drive operational processes
  • An understanding of lean methodologies
  • Ability to organise and plan use of time and prioritise effectively
  • High level of attention to detail
