To ensure smooth running of the production control and distribution process through forecasting/ planning / scheduling of raw material supplies, employees, the manufacturing process and organising transport to meet changing customer orders and delivery requirements, whilst maintaining maximum utilisation of all machinery and strict adherence to the company Quality procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To plan and programme all orders through the production process, in the most economical and viable manner ensuring all machines are running at optimum capacity, taking into account customer’s delivery requirements and liaising with all personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintain progress of every order / job at regular intervals.
  • Ensure all administration and documentation is correct, making sure there are no delays in production and ensuring that all pricing is correct.
  • Prepare and deliver customer delivery dates for new and existing orders through consultation with the Purchasing, Design and production departments, and will liaise closely with the sales team as well as customers on the progress of orders in a courteous, accurate and timely manner.
  • To advise the Plant/Production Manager on all production control activities, report on any spare production capacity or bottlenecks and recommend course of action for dealing with such occurrences.

  • Attend regular meetings to discuss overall production.
  • Review firm orders and accordingly establish priorities and schedules.
  • Monitor inventory status and generate inventory reports.
  • Maintain minimum / maximum finished goods at a level commensurate with market and commercial requirements by the use of standard group stock control system and produce monthly stock report.
  • Generate reports on production shortages for analysis
  • Assist production in controlling costs whilst maintaining quality standards.
  • Arrange transport in the most economical way using only reliable hauliers and ensuring rates are competitive.
  • Identify delivery exception and provide alternative solutions







Profile

  • Production/material planning
  • Excel and ERP systems
  • Lean/Process Improvement experience
  • Able to manage projects to tight timescales and engage and influence multiple stakeholders.









Job Offer

£25,000- £29,000 Base + Package
