Production Planner / Up to £30,000 / Manchester

A well established and innovative manufacturing company based in the Manchester area with multiple manufacturing sites globally. Being part of a large global group this organisation has the ability to provide their customers the fastest service levels available.

Your new role

The Production Planner will be responsible for the scheduling of production processes to ensure that all customer orders will be ready in time for shipment with the minimum amount of cost, ensuring capacity is maintained in line with business requirements through efficient utilisation of equipment and planning of material availability and that customer requirements are met / exceeded.

Your day to day duties will include: ensuring all schedules take into account production constraints, customer required dates, economical run quantities, changeover times, requirements for businesses and raw material availability, working with other members of the Planning team, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Customer Service to ensure all large or non-standard requirements are planned for and catered for appropriately. You will be monitoring of sales orders and investigating late orders and agreeing corrective actions where applicable.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have 3 years experience in a production planning or supply chain planning role. You will have a background in manufacturing and a working knowledge of production compliance/regulations and experience working on ERP Systems, preferably SAP. Excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and a good level of computer literacy is essential.
